another car question (on painting)

ok so you all know about my car troubles and joys recently, and hopefully by the end of this week everything will be alright, its only the front brakes. but i have another problem here.

there is some surface rust on the paintjob, so we want to get it removed and repainted. now i think we should get it painted now to protect it for the winter, and my dad thinks we should wait until the winter is over then get it painted. whos right in this case?

also, it is light green with red interior and a black hardtop. what color should it be? im thinking the same color or tan or something.

theres a blank palette to work with. red int, black top. go to town on color combos!

exactly....i would wait til spring. You live near me and winters are not good for cars. Especially if you want to keep them shiny and new looking.

Do it now before the rust gets worse. Yes the winter is going to take a toll on the paint though, but so it ever winter after it. Keep the salt off it as best you can (mudflaps may not be a bad idea) and stay ontop of any rust. www.por15.com for undercoating.
