    My latest project scooter

This is the T5. Its about to be torn apart for painting. If you look close at the horncover (nose peice) you will see the Silver color its about to become.

This particular model was never imported to the US. It was specificaly developed for the european market becuase there was a need for a speedy scooter that had no more than 125cc's. High compression short stroke nickisil lined barrel...So what Piaggio did was, in essence, make a sports bike motor and put in it. It is a very short stroke high reving beefed up and geared up engine/drivetrain. It will do 68 mph. And I can attest to that as I have personaly hit that on this thing. It flat out screams. Has no bottom end at all. You have to ride it aggressively and hard. It has no upper rev limit. It will just scream. But never over rev. You can't over rev the thing.

But anyway these are the before pictures. I will be starting to break it down now and do the work and then rebuild it. Cosmetics only as the engine drive train and all electrics are perfect.

Looks like a early 60's Allstate maybe? Is the motor turning or seized?

Where you located? I got most of the tools.

Didn't know you were into these things. Good to meet a fellow scooterist.

You ever get on the International Scooterist BBS?

So far I have retored two P's (well build one up from parts actually), One Sprint V and a Servetta Jet 200. Now working on this T5 and gathering parts for a Italian GP150 frame I have. Also searching for another Vespa frame to go with a P125 motor I am building up...

Hm...I might know someone who has a frame that might fit that. And I have been on that site before...but, I rarely get on there anymore. Been working on getting my 73 Mini Cooper up and running for a British car show.

I don't mean to laugh. Really. But that just hit me as so funny. Maybe it's stress from the day but it's brought tears to my eyes.
Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.
