so lets say my computer doesnt have a firewire port... is there any way I can get an adapter that will make my digital video recorders cord from firewire to USB? or would it be easier to get a firewire port installed?


Im a complete newbie when it comes to this stuff...

I've never seen an adapter that changes from one to the other. It's very simple to install a Firewire card, though. Buy one at Fry's or Best Buy, Etc. Open the computer case. Insert card into empty slot. Turn on computer. Install software. It really is that easy.
