I have had 2 complete sets of Bf Goodrich All Terrain TA's and I can tell you this. They have a nice flat ride on the highway, and unstoppable in any mud or snow, but the main reason I love these tires is the fact that they last 60000 miles! I will keep buying them till they stop making them. They show almost no signs of wear until it time for new ones. Simply an amazing tire. And around 90 bucks each around here.

Thanks guys for your info and thoughts.
But let me reply to your posts:
--Skife: Mickeys are tight I would love to have some but I do not the financial flexibility to buy $195 tires. plus they dont make them in 235/75/R15 or 245/75/R15. Those are what my truck can take.
--Casingbill: Bridgestiones are cool but they dont sell them at the stores that I think are credible. One store that I went to said they will do mounting, balancing, and alignment for free but it would be $175 per tire. But there would also be a mandatory $50 disposal fee for all the tires. I asked him if he was trying to rip me off. And he looked shocked and said "why would I think of that." I flicked him off. and left the store.

I will stick to buying my tires at the stores that I trust. For GY I am really looking at the wranglers (ATS, RTS have them on my T100, *MTS*) and the BFG the all terain (AT, RT)
Kind of see a pattern here. As for perrellis I am not sure about them anymore I am hearing their SUV/truck tires are not up to par with their carr tires and this makes me sad.

I don't know as much about truck tires, but on sports compacts pirrelli has exellent traction on the straight and the corners, but they give a loud ride and squeel well before they break loose. Goodyear is quiet and that's the plus I've seen. I know that your Tacoma is significantly larger than my maxima, but Douglas tires have done me very well.
