Wierd NJ

Any of you Jersians out there ever do some of the stuff from the Wierd NJ book? on halloween night me and a couple friends went to the paulanskil viaducts. its a big bridge that towers about 150 ft high or something. and you walk through the arches into the towers. some towers you have to walk over a pipe to get to the other side, and under you its like 5-6 feet high filled with water. there supposedly are satanic rituals held there some times, and some kid got pushed off the edge of one of the archs a few months ago while drunk.

it wasnt to scary, but im planning on going to the greystone mental institution next in morris planes..that place is supposed to be messed up, anyone been there?

Greystone is right by me, I live in Randolph. Nothing scary, but I haven't been there looking to be scared.

My mom actually has the Weird NJ book downstairs, I keep meaning to take a look at it..

I have most of the issues and the book.

Annies Road and Midgetville are both in the town next to me, highly over-rated. Not worth the trip.

I've been to Demon's Alley, but I heard its been torn down now. It was kinda creepy.

The Essex Mountain Sanitorium was in my town, got torn down two years ago.

I really want to go to the Menlo Park Asylum one of these days.

I don't go on nearly enough Weird NJ trips. We should get some AO WNJ trips organized.

Man, while I was down there, thats all I did, was try and visit those places. I have pics of the house used in the amityville horror, it Toms River, I think it was. Anyway, awesome rag. Wish they did something like that here.

yea i've been on clinton years ago. it wasnt too bad, it all depends on who you go with. if you go to it with ppl that scare easly, then they will get you scared. if you go with ppl that arent easly scared then it wont be any good. you gotta tell the stories that go on there and ****, and you gotta go at like midnight.

There's also a place seriously 10 minutes walking distance.. it's like these satanic rituals took place, and it got burned down and it keep coming back.

Theres some Weird NJ stuff in my town. There some legend about Betty someone and how she spied on the British and wathced the Battle of Bound Brook...or something. There is also an old stone shack that had tons and tons of old prosthetic(Sp?) arms and legs.
I'm probably going to go on a Weird NJ trip with my brother soon.

Reading Weird NJ makes me consider my sanity.

I think that this was mentioned in the weird new jersey book. I used to live near this road called "Shades of Death Rd" up in jersey and supposedly a lot of accidents and crazy things have happened on it with fatalitys and stuff. Went down it a couple time and the surroundings were kinda creepy but of course it was in the middle of the day so it wasnt frightening or anything. Any of you jersey guys heard of it?

I'm guessing that Weird NJ is like a book to freak you out, yeah, VA has one two. So does the town I live in because I live in Williamsburg, you know where the 1st settlers arrived and stuff. Whole lot of scary crap in Colonial Williamsburg if you go on the right night.

Thats basically what it is. It's a magazine that comes out twice a year and has stories about all the strange and spooky stuff that happens here in Jersey.
