Might be weird, but at least they were smart with the next stage of lazer reading. Blue optics. Faster read time and can hold a gajillion more data than red optic discs. Basically all the little grooves made are tighter together.
Only problem with these discs is that the red won't be able to read blue discs! And I'm not sure but I think Blue can read Red, but maybe not (gotta look up on that one). But pretty soon I'd expect DVD players (probably CD too) to come with both light fixtures.
But I wouldn't doubt if you'd see an example of the benefits from this in videos like Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars. Where they have every movie on one disc!Comment
