After thoughts on HALO2 (some spoilers inside)

You can hook Halo 2 up on XBOX Live and you can take a party with you wherever you join a game that is freakin pimp... you can invite a party off your friends list or join ones that are made and its a really simple and no lag like on xbconnect. Halo 2 was designed mainly with this aspect in mind because all of the multiplayer stages are uge and easily support 16 players. Also can't wait for the Downloadable Content to become available. It's gonna be the gift that keeps entertaining.

Things I loved

The Covenant Beam Rifle No reload sniper just space your shots and keep it from over heating and you can blast alot before getting ammo.

Boarding enemy vehicles you can completely dismantle a Wraith by jumping on and melee attacking the crap out of it till it explodes

Brute shot was awesome for shooting guys hiding around corners cause it bounces off of one wall and explodes on another

Rockets Lock onto vehicles and have a semi homing ability when shot at a player

dual wielding needlers and a smg

shotguns have alot more bang for the buck and devestating melee attacks

Plasma Sword can lock on and lunge toward an enemy at roughly shotgun range for an instant kill--- my longest streak includin a triple kill and a killtacular was done with a plasma sword and a beam rifle 12 kills in a row

medals awarded for random acts of violence-- assasinating, triple kills, running riot, killtaculars they are all saved i have like 35 medals after the night was over

complete character customization

Game types are endless we could play a different game every time and not run out for a week and then start over and they would be brand new again

no real "off the map glitches" and no clipping problems everything obeyed the boundaries so far nothing goes through walls and junk like that

Machine gun turrets in the stage to defend against vehicles assaulting the bases

sniper rifle is very nice but reloads alot slower so make sure you have a battle rifle or something with some punch in case you get attacked while reloading

No more getting hurt from jumping off stuff woo hoo get on top of the highest thing you can then jump on top of someone with a plasma sword or dual smgs and waste them

grenades dont get hurled 9,830,985,643,670 miles

no more health packs just get out of the action until you shields revive

Pumas have a rocket launcher now oohhh so nice against a wraith

improved driving characteristics, ebrake on the puma, banshee has afterburner as does the ghost

moveable objects... you can baracade a door to keep the enemy busy for a while but it takes a while to move case you have to melee the boxes and barrels and stuff to get them where you want them

all stages are sniper and assault oriented noone really has an advantage cause you can sneak up on a sniper just as easy as the sniper can hide

invisible and overshield are kind of hard to find so not everyone is going to be running around from power up to power up.

Things I didnt Like

Wandering around for minutes at a time without firing a shot...

getting killed multiple times by the same person because it was respawning me fairly close to where I had died

takes forever for guns to respawn it seems

melee attacks dont seem to deal as much damage

no scope on the pistol... sniff.... oh well it needed to come down a peg i guess

rocket whores... there are ammo crates full of rockets everywhere in every stage

banshees dont fly well and you cant hover with one and lay waste to an area you have to swoop in and swoop out

the menu gets a little confusing depending on who signs into their player first because they get to make game and stuff noone else can move the joystick except the party leader

got lost alot in the stages...

got killed while looking at scenery alot

elites move weird in multiplayer and are too easy to kill if you played the single player mode in Halo one

I got it about today and I'm at the place where you are plaing as an Elite. Its got me totally confused as to why I'm playing as an elite(people kept IMing me while the cut scene was playing) and don't paticularly like it. Oh well, I guess it ties in with the story somehow.

But having to push A, then select, why cant you just push right or left

and the whole login and profile tings

i got the last copy at my towns superwalmart (the only place in my town that sells them) this morning at 8:00 then i went to school and work and ive been playing since 7:00 im on the first level that you are an elite. it sucks for everyone else in my town though because the walmart only had 1 box of them and they sold out around 9:00 this morning.

i really liked this game. as far as the not as good as was hyped, lets face it everyone has been dying for this since the first one. anyone who didnt think it would be over hyped was just not being realistic.

this game is great, even better than the first and thats all you need to know.
