Stop closing the small talk threads!!

The problem with AO is the Nazi administration. Let friendly be friendly for crying out loud! How can you promote fun, light hearted threads if you LOCK them all the time. Who cares if a thread is stupid and about cake or snoop dog or whatever. Let it be, let people have fun in it and it will die.

Seriously who the hell can dictate if a thread is worthy of being closed based only on the fact that its friendly small talk. So what if it had 6 pages of a smiley if people have fun with it. It's not like it's the Paintball Talk forum or that precious Deep Blue forum where they discuss 8 year old paintball technology. It's friggen friendly corner for crying out loud and its a message board where you are lucky if 200 people visit it at any given time.

Really, what is going on.
I have seen more locked threads in the last week than at anyother time.

I feel I could have contributed to the discussion on alot of the topics but I didn't get there in time before the thing was all locked up.

I agree, but get rid of those huge smileys they are a pain.

It uses up bandwidth, they're pointless, they're stupid. Those are some pretty compelling reasons to lock bad threads, but the main reason is because they lower people's intellect just by looking at them.
