Anyone hear the one about the perpetual motion cat/toast machine?
Hypothesis: Cats always land on their feet, right? And buttered toast always hits the floor butter side down, true?
Methodology: So, using advanced scientific technique (duct tape ) we secure a piece of toast, butter side up, to the back of the feline control element (cat).
To conduct the experiment, we will hold the cat from approx 10-15 feet in the air, and then drop him towards the earth, causing acceleration at ~9.8 m/s/s.
Results: Our hypothesis was proven correct. Since both the buttered toast and the cat are inclined to land on the "bottom" or "touch first," the cat instead slowly rotates about its x axis.
Plans to add hydro-electric style turbine to one side of the cat are being developed.God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.Comment
