Anyone else think Halo 2 Xbox Live is crap?

I mean seriously, this matchmaking thing is the most retarded system I've ever seen. For the last 2 hours I've been playing stupid gametypes in retarded maps that I don't want to play in, simply because the game randomly chooses it for me. I know about the whole party thing, and finding people on my friends list, and invites from the postgame carnage report, blah blah. I just wanna be able to search a list of games/host a game, where people can come in and play some sweet gametypes, on some sweet maps and everyone have a good time. Anyone else with me?

Nice, and shall I say original, flame, I am so taken aback that I don't know what to say. I mean, trying to insult me as if I'm crying and need a tissue and then even posting a picture of the kleenex box is such a novel concept, I can't believe I've never seen it before. To you sir, I salute.

I haven't picked up the game yet, so I really can't comment, but I've read about what your talking about, and I don't really like the sound of it. Supossedly, Bungie is going to keep on top of things, but we'll see. Gonna pick up the game this weekend and find out for myself.

I agree with the searching for games. I tried doing that, and it was still looking for a game 5 minutes later so I quit the search. They should of made that better. I do however have alot of people on my list who play it and they invite more once there in the game so its all good.

Agreed. Although, I must say, that once you get a party going and stuff, it's a blast. I wish that they could just do a normal game list, where you could look at all of the settings and stuff.

Not only does this system suck, but there is no CO-op? what kind of lame shiz is this. Quake2 had co-op in link 1995.

Halo online on computer had it so that you could set what map you wanted and what game type so that it searched for those and then you could just pick one of the games. It sounds like Halo 2 isn't like this?

Ugh.. wow. So many people not knowing things.

First of all, to simply 'join a game' off a list. No it can't be done.

Second, if you have someone create a server.. join into their game by friend list. Unlike other games, this one requires you to make 'e-friends' to do anything. It allows the online community to get more friendly. After that, simply have the make a custom game.. OMG, YOU CAN CHANGE ANYTHING YOU WANT!

Third, the 'quick games' are made to get people into your skill group and add rank. If you could pick map every time, you'd simply just pick a map, pick options, and then get so hardcore god at it, it'd be lame. This way, it's always different so everyone has a chance and it isnt off sided. Wow, an even skilled tournament, what a concept!

Lastly, you can make clans with friends so you can join with each other and play clan games to up your rank more. Think of it like a team in paintball, going from tourny to tourny, getting better.

TraXer, ghost217, and I played for about 2 hours tonight, we started a party and played random games, it was fun.

join the AO clan if you dont know of anyone to join in a party, thats what i did and its starting to rock.

I was dissapointed in the halo 2 online at first, but its really coming around for me.
