EBgames have broken the release date which if happens, valve said they'd start hl2 authentication on steam so we can play it. The publishers however, Vivendi Universal don't like steam all that much since it sorta removes the need for them to exist, and so insist that valve keep the original date. Only 2 more days!

Yeah, a LOT of stores broke the release date and released it early, however, the people who bought it at said stores still can't play it, no one can until Tuesday.

i wish i had a nice computer that i can play that on. my computer dosent have a nice video and graphic's stuff to Support it but do you think this will ever come out on xbox or playstation 2?? i am planing to get the orginal half life on ps2 and counter strike this week at the mall. i really want to play then new one. pluse the old ps2 Version of half life is like 8 bucks used at gamestop!! same i think with counter strike

also for doom 3 fans it wont come out on xbox till 2/1/05

ha well if you live by a store that is open 24/7 and if they have a big demand on it like halo 2 was, it will probebley come out 12:00 tuesday morning. but dont trust wal-mart they allways get the new games in on thursdays those bastards i had to wait a half of a week to get halo 2.

I can't wait for this... The good story it SHOULD have will make up for Halo 2...

That doesn't matter at all, some stores are already selling it as stated above. What he was referring to was the release on STEAM.

Just because it was a good game doesn't mean the story has to be good too, but the story line sucked.
Playing it was fun. Playing multilplayer is a blast. The story sucked. Don't be a fanboy, it was a horrible ending.

I've played it when it was in the alpha stages (20%ish complete). From what I saw, its going to be a very good game. I don't have any of the complete versions besides the preload on steam (I don't even have time to play what I have ), although the complete FINAL version is available many places . (emule, bitorrent, irc, etc.)
