AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Powell worked his *** off for the administration...and I respect that. He was much more of a 'moderate' than the 'hawks' in the administration and he DID have to quiet down a LOT because the administration followed a more hawkish path than they could have. He accepted it and showed complete and total loyalty to the president, sometihng that everyone should respect.
Sadly, I don't think he'll be missed much by the administration.
But, THAT is a political decision in and of itself. (besides NOTHING is good for EVERYONE, best compromises hurt everyone)
When to "go with the team" or "follow orders" and when to object publically are also "political" decisions.
It's just when the choice being made conveniently matches our own perceived "best for the people" notions that we hypocritically charge the other camp with "political" intensions.
It is amazing to me how few people have any common sense when it comes to viewing their political leaders. I think Cphillip hit the nail on the head when he said Powell may have political aspirations beyond this administration.
Others who say, "Few political leaders have the courage and moral fiber to think beyond politics...Powell isn't one of them."
I have to laugh at your niavete of implying that Bush is such a leader. The guy has money and politics on the brain at all times. So did Clinton and so did Kerry. Anyone who thinks otherwise about their political leaders is very deluded and risks being manipulated by the political leaders by the most simplistic smoke screens.
Healthy skepticism is what makes a democracy work. It is what made this country strong.

are you kidding? skepticism keeps Neo Con republicans from pushing thier agenda and is "unAmercian"
sarcasm*
Republicans always do this. There is no way that you can speculate about Colin's political aspirations, so stop discussing it. Although, if you repeat it enough, then maybe it will turn into something, esp. if it is on TV. That seems to work wonders in america.
Im sick of Conservatives pushing around us liberals. Im sick of liberals not standing up for themselves. Its time that we stand up to these Neo Con ***tards. Freaking Neo Con, facists, authoritarian jerks.
