No, think about it.
How many times in a game have you been struck running for the break, or behind a bunker and the ref checked you and called clean. It bounced.
So how do you input that into a videogame? Do you design some type of 'random hit' generator that when you're hit with a single shot it randomly bounces?
Okay... so that might be a decent idea, but for that generator to work you'd have to factor it into every shot. Now lets say I come up behind a player and pop a shot straight into his back and that 'random generator' decides its a bounce, on a shot that obviously wouldn't bounce, and he turns around and ganks me.
Is that fair?
The only way to really input the 'possible bounce' option into the game without creating some insanly sophisticated programming, well not insane but it'd take a while to do, is to add a "cheat meter". Cause face it... wether we like it or not, people cheat, but it also allows players to put in the factor of a bounce.
Not only that... but the game keeps playing. So you have to get it in the "green area" while continuing to play so you're not shot again (2 shots is auto out).
The fact is... the cheat meter has a bad wrap. Sure it'd be nice if there were no cheat option, but honestly it serves 2 purposes, and its honestly a part of "real life" paintball that some players choose to do on a daily basis on the fields.
