    Lymphoma?

I just discovered i have a large lump behind my jawbone, i went to the doctor to check it out he says it is either just a cyst, an irritated lymph node, or i may have lymphoma......

could also be a goiter (iodine deficiency), my cousin was scared into thinking it was cancer, but it was just a goiter.

lymph nodes are very sensitive, so its very possible its just irritated.

but good luck with whatever it is!

im sure the rest of AO wishes you well

hope its nothing serious, but cysts are likely to show up there and like they said lymph nodes are very sensitive. it might just be swollen becuase of the onset of a cold or something. good luck though

I've had swollen lymph nodes for a LONG time. The only person who actually noticed them was the chiropractor when he was adjusting my neck. Only problem they've presented is that it got NAILED with tons of overshooting (paintball, yes) right on the left one (back of neck). It was kinda painful and was sensitive to the touch.

Other than that, they mean nothing really. He said it could have been from a bad sickness or something like that. Who knows!
