I assume there is no thread on this because everyone who bought it can't get unglued from their monitors.

This game rules. My graphics are on medium and its easily the best graphics of any game Ive seen.

    The game physics are awesome.

    The gameplay itself rocks.

I'd type more but I have to get back to playing.

Gman in the begining was amazing.

Graphics overall look great, and run on my year old laptop.

This is a sequel worthy of game of the year, I woldn't be suprised if it was both sequel of the year and game of the year for 2k4.

This game is going to singlehandedly cause me to drop out of college...

Got the game unlocked last night at 1am mountain time... Played until 5... if I didn't have homework that HAD to be done I would have stayed up much later.

Like I said in some other thread the graphics are easily the equal of Doom3, and as a plus you don't have "Extreme Flashlight Simulater 2004" syndrome either.

I just wish there was some other multiplayer then CS: Source... I mean its the same counterstrike game we've been playing for the last 5 years, something new couldn't have killed them...

Valve really did drop the effin ball again with the Steam servers messing up on release day, I admit.

It took me about 2 hours to get logged into steam and get the files unlocked.

But once I did... oh man.

            *drools*

HL2 > Halo 2 in so many ways I can't even count them.

Just completed the game, easily the best gaming experience I've ever had the sheer variety of gameplay and scenery and the way it all links together is just astounding. Even after about an hour of play it was extremely obvious that this was something special.

                  Whoa.

By the time half life three comes out we are going to put on a special suit and helmet with a screen in it and be able to play FPS games that way

Heh, I doubt halflife 3 will be released in our lifetimes

Anyways, I truly believe halflife 2 is the greatest game ever.

Everything about it is near perfect, When I first loaded the game I did have a game crash, and at one point I got stuck and couldn't preoceed (re-did the level, worked fine). I'm only a few hours into it, but I just love it, I was going to play for about 10 minutes and I just kept playing... everytime something happened I got excited and kept playing. It's incredible, it's a giant puzzle, with many huge challenges along the way. I'm on easy and it's relatively difficult, I'm scared to see how difficult hard was. I'm guessing you'd die a lot.

My favorite part about it so far is the AI, I just love how smart they are. Honestly, I feel like I'm apart of the game and those computers are actual people just playing against me on the internet, they act like humans, they don't act like computers. It's just simply amazing.

The graphic detail, I just can't begin to explain how amazing the graphics are. I'm getting a new video card for christmas (6800 U or x800 xt) just to experience the graphics 10x better.

Probably a decent speaker system to go along with it

My only disappointment is no raw deathmatch, that was definately one of my favorite parts of original halflife, making my own character, running around with the pistol and crowbar blasting people and whacking them. Then the mods, I wasn't into the original halflife much as I was the multiplayer. Halflife was what got me into FPS games, and not having multiplayer in the sequel is a bit disappointing, I heard rumors of something being released though

Beat the game last night, took about 13 hours to beat. Didn't have any problems with Steam (I don't think anyone who ordered it through Steam did, just the people who bought it in the store).

That game was awesome, the ending is amazing, and I can't wait for mods to be released, this game has so much more potential!!

did u beat it in one sitting casue if u did i salute u.

I attempted to beat doom 3 in one sitting, man that was mistake. 18 hours of sitting in my dark room alternating playing between me and my frined hunter. We never finished it, got within an hour of the end and couldnt take any more of that game and we jsut stopped, i never did finissh it. All i know is when i walked outside the next day it was the most amazing feeling ever casue the game actually had me believing that i was in dark hall ways for that long period of time, When i stepped outside into all the open air wiht no threats of having giant IMPs throwing fireballs at e it felt amazing.
