    Local Teenager wins Cisco award

I thought I'd post this to show you can accomplish anything at any age.
Gregory Liebowitz, age 17, started his own business in 7th grade. He has, since then acheived what many take a lifetime to accomplish. Today, he recieved a standing ovation at Cisco's Growing with Technology Awards 2004. My brother was in a few classes with him in 7th grade. He said " He is going to be the next Bill gates, just watch" Gregory has dropped out of our high school and is now learning at a private institution, I assume. He also sat next to the editor of Forbes while at the awards.

At Yahoo Finance, you get free stock quotes, up-to-date news, portfolio management resources, international market data, social interaction and mortgage rates that help you manage your financial life.

    or for the lazy:

Teen Entrepreneur Receives Standing Ovation at Cisco's Growing with Technology Awards 2004 Ceremony
Thursday November 18, 2:34 pm ET

HILLSBOROUGH, N.J., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- IT Media, Inc. president Gregory Liebowitz was named a runner-up in the Sales and Marketing category of the Cisco Growing with Technology Awards 2004. The 17-year-old Liebowitz shared his vision of the future of technology in his acceptance speech, which garnered a standing ovation. The modest New Jersey teenager simply smiled graciously. Winners were announced during a ceremony at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco on Tuesday, November 16, 2004.
IT Media is an interactive design firm servicing small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Recognizing the broader needs of its customers, IT Media upgraded and expanded its network infrastructure to provide subscription-based application services. They now offer scalable, web-based software applications targeted specifically to SMBs that enable customers to fully leverage their strength and potential on the Internet. Implementing IT Media's own applications internally has simplified and improved its operations, as well as improved customer service.

The Cisco Growing with Technology Awards was created to recognize small and medium-sized organizations that demonstrate how networking technology solutions can effectively address business challenges. The winners of the program serve as role models and best practices for other businesses that want to use technology to fuel growth and compete more effectively. A panel of 10 judges selected 15 winners in five categories from more than 700 applications.

"IT Media is extremely gratified to be recognized by Cisco in this award. Networking technology allows us to create a dynamic advantage for our employees, partners and customers by availing them of the information and services they want, when they want it," said Liebowitz. "A single network infrastructure gave us the power to simplify business operations and increase productivity under our new customer-centric business model."

This year's panel of judges is composed of a diverse, cross-section of experts in the field of small and medium business operations. Members include: Ray Boggs, Vice President of Small/Medium Business Research, IDC; Kneko Burney, Chief Market Strategist, InStat/MDR; Helen Chan, Senior Analyst, Yankee Group; Josh Hyatt, Executive Editor, FSB: Fortune Small Business Magazine; Mika Krammer, Research Vice President, Gartner Group; David Morgan, President and CIO, D.W. Morgan Company; Elspeth Jane Murray, Assistant Professor, Queen's University (Canada); Mark Quinn, District Director, U.S. Small Business Administration; Sam Steinhardt, Executive Director of Center for Innovations in Learning at Stanford University; and Joe Diodati, Senior Director of Commercial Marketing, Cisco Systems.

"This year's winners have proven that there is a correlation between a company's investment in networking technology and success," said Peter Alexander, Vice President, Commercial Marketing, Cisco Systems. IT Media was selected because they stood out as an organization that uses a network to create sustainable, competitive differentiation, while improving operational efficiencies and effectiveness.

HAH! If IT Media wasnt founded/run by 2 kids, I doubt you would be hearing anything about it. Nothing revolutionary to say the least. Other companies (previous employers included) have folded like paper after trying to provide "DYNAMIC IT MEDIA INFRASTUCTURE NETWORKS FOR REAL TIME RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION".
