I did write a Bill. I and two others. Back in 1976. I not only wrote it but I met with the State Atorney General to get the wording aproved and then found sponsor legislators who got it introduced into the State Senate and House simultaneously... met with them several times.... I even testified in front of the Senate Commitee for it....then it got apposed in the House...and put on the contested calender and died after two years of inaction. However I got it reinroduced again... and it passed and this time was uncontested.

I was 20 years old at the time I did this. I was 23 before it ever became law.

So I have done it. What was it? Regulation of Veterinary Technologists under the State Veterinary Examining board and establishing Certification criteria, method and standards. Until then there was no such thing in South Carolina. Now there is. Legaly. I became the third recognized Certified Technologist in the state after its passage. Simply because there was two others who stood for the first state exam given by the Board whos Last names started with A. Mine starts with C. But there were 13 of us passed that exam. 18 failed. So my certification number is 3.

if i could have two bills its a toss up between getting rid of those BS anti gun laws and lowering the drinking age

the drinking age one really pisses me off. i can vote, drive a car,own a long gun, and die for my country in some godforsaken desert. but i cant browse a liquor store with out getting kicked out.

Definately lowering the strict gun laws in California. As it stands, im going to be moving out of state just because of the gun laws. Im in San Diego, which is sunny all year, and moving probably out to the East Coast, where the weather is as stable as Mango. We all know how reliable that can be...

You're halfway there. Why not legalize all those things AND cut the goverment to a size where it wouldn't need to tax those things in the first place?
I find it very interesting that in MaChu's list that there are 4 republicans listed and 2 democrats. Who is for small government again? (I better not hear any crap, I hate both parties)

I'm gonna take this a setp further and just say what I would do if I had the power to do it.

End porkbarrel legistlation (If it's possible... It's not really.. a thing.. it just kind of happens). WASTE OF MONEY. And some of the things the money is going to is completely useless. And it's pretty much a form of corruption..

Welfare...Fix it. Too many people abusing it. Everyone I know who is on it is totaly abusing it.

Change the school system. Have a more strict course selection for each grade. Things they have to cover. Not up to the teacher. Up to the state. I would like to see a more specific school system that teaches kids more what they need to learn if they know what they want to do... but that's sketchy.

I'd say more but I gotta get started on a paper before I pass out.
