on a more serios note:

astronomers have predicted that in the year 2018 an astroid named p-8(i think ) is supposed to come very close to a collision with earth. if it would colide it would be a global catastrophy. last i heard nasa had a team of experts working on a way to either deviate it course now or come up with another solution (something like the movie armagedon)
