    BMW X5 or Infinity FX...

Which one would you go for and why?

    Anyone have either vehicle?

Any reason not to buy used certified?

Good grief, the Corvette and now THIS?

Infinit has the best customer service in the industry. I had a G35, and they treated me like a king everytime I went there. They would give me a G35 loaner for any reason, even an oil change. Infiniti was also much more open to negotiating on the price. I was able to get a G35 for $250 over invoice, whereas the BMW people (I checked out the 330i) wouldnt budge on price at all. In fact, the BMW people acted as if they could care less whether I bought their car or not.

BMW maintenance is also more expensive, and I believe their warranty is not as good as infiniti's. Personally I think the X5 looks better, but I think the FX might actually have better performance numbers.

    So...

    Price, performance, and treatment-Infiniti
    Looks and prestige-BMW

I wouldn't buy a Range Rover... years of working for Land Rover means I am bored with them. Also for a guy of my size I just don't think there is enough space inside. I spent most of my youth in a Ranger Rover and from that grew to dislike them.

The Porsche is awesome. But stupid expensive.

I saw one of the Volvo SUV's on the way home and was somewhat intrigued. But it's a bit 'bland' for me.

                  Infiniti wins!

I'm not sure about how BMW treats customers, but Infiniti is ranked #1 for customer service.

So is this in addition to the vette, or to replace? Not trying to pry, its just that I loved the pics I saw of that souped up vette.

                      Nothing is replacing the vette!

I just don't want to abuse her through the winter, so need a winter/paintball/commuter vehicle.

Am thinking about buying used but still certified.

Geez, I'm in the wrong line of work.

The BMW is going to be bigger than the FX, which is another thing to consider. But I am still fairly certain the FX will be cheaper to own, and will perform better. They look quite striking in person, though the looks are definately polarising.

Ever consider a Toyota 4-runner? Tough, dependable, cheap, and rugged looking. I had one for a while (older model) and it was a fantastic car. Especially for a second vehicle.

I hadn't but appreciate the info.

The last Toyota I had, a Celica, was awesome value for money.
