Hunter shoots eight other hunters and kills six

He was in the military and only 1 or 2 of the people were said to have guns. I He said the first person he shot was the one with the gun. After that everyone started running, He then shot/chased them. Two people on an atv had a gun but he shot them while on the atv. The police are also looking for the 2 guys he was hunting with. Just Strange that it would seem that he thinks he can use a self defence. He said he chased a guy that was screaming "dont shoot" and "help me help me". Just unbelievable..

So far it's sounding more like only the first guy was armed, on his way to the deer stand in question, and the rest were just rushing to help him. Everyone here knows how easy it is to shoot people that don't expect it. The victims were not trying to attack this guy, until they tried to defend themselves, but instead were getting to their friend to help him.

in WI ive personally had problems with the Hmong shooting pretty much anything during deer season, squirrels, rabbits, etc.

they did say that besides the fact that this guy was in the military, he also flipped his orange inside out so that it was camoflaged when he chased the other people.

Only a couple people had guns and they were shot right away. I heard on the radio today that he was linked to a hunting murder i believe 3 years ago too. I cant remember how many were killed but i believe it was around 5.

I don't know it is in Wisconsin, a predominately white state...I get enough crap here in TX, I could imagine what an Asian person would have to deal with there.

This whole thing just sickens me. I can not see how anyone could get this violent about deer hunting. I am sure that harsh words were spoken, but I don't for a minute believe that the landowners shot at him first, or at all for that matter. This bastard hunted the wounded down and shot them again. That is just sick.
I work in the emergency services industry and I can not imagine anthing more horrible for a town to experience.

this was in my old home town... yep born and raised in Hayward WI

honestly this isnt anything new to that area, we have had lots of hunting / fishing related hostility with the local indian tribe/reservation. Basicly the entire time I was growing up ppl were pulling guns on each other about spearfishing rights and hunting on private land.

so yeah... this is me, not suprised about this. Anyhow im yet to hear who exactly got shot but odds are I grew up with em.

Five members of the hunting party -- Robert Crotteau, 42, and his son, Joey Crotteau, 20; Al Laski, 43; Mark Roidt, 28; and Jessica Willers, 27 -- were found dead on the scene. The sixth, 55-year-old Denny Drew, died Monday evening at a hospital in Marshfield.

Jessica Willers' father, Terry Willers, and another hunter, Lauren Hesebeck, were wounded but survived.
