The second case is not so clever, the fold down plate at the bottom hides the extra ports, sound microphone and usb and maybe firewire the front panel opens up to get access to the drives which will become a pain very quickly plus the panel is plastic as are the clips on both the drop down door and the front panel. I have built a couple of pc's with a similar case to the second and the finish inside was bad! So bad in fact that to route the cables better I removed the front panel and managed without any effort to slice my finger on the metal internal panel. Don't listen the the haters on here (Mac users) and get the first case as it is different enough to be good plus the air flow is good the other is a plastic and metal case trying to look flash and not really succeeding. The cost I would guess at would mean that the second is a lot cheaper...cheap doesn't always mean good.

Have to disagree. I've built and own several machines bases on the antec/cheiftec cases. Theres lots of room and they are super light and I have never had any problems with anything on them breaking. My opinion. I like em.

I'd go with the first, I hate cases that remind me of ricers...All That premod stuff bothers me.

Although I would say get a nice Lian-Li, Coolermaster, or best yet: Silverstone.

They'll cost you a pretty penny but they are oh so nice to work in and look at.

Don't get a premod. Get a plain case and mod the hell out of it. It's much more rewarding in the long run.
