Should he write a book. Absolutely. I don't know how good a writer he is but he might need a co-writer or something. Someone with experience. Those stories were so interesting and he was unbeleivably honest. It sounds like he didn't sugar coat a thing.

He didn't sugarcoat a thing, but I did...

One complete story, and all the four letter words and racial referances a tad bit too... ummm... "insensitive" for AO...

A good friend of the family was a "tank gunner" in Vietnam. I am not sure of the the name of the position he was in , but he was the one sticking out the top of the tank shooting a gun and directing the actual driver.

He used to carry around a camera with him and snap shots of the after effects of them showing up on scene. He had a pic of one guy who had run up on the barrel of the tank just as it fired. Cleaved his skull neatly in two right at the forehead. Many other pictures and stories that were quite gruesome.

His tour was ended when the tank he was in was hit right on the front armor plate by a bazooka round. The explosion sucked him out of the hatch and threw him about 50 feet behind the tank. The force of the explosion completly removed all the tissue from his face , forehead , and front of his scalp. He now wears a mask something similar to the invisible man as his face was damaged too much to reconstruct.

The stories he can tell can give nightmares to people who weren't even there.
