As to what we were discussing;

OU was ranked #1 preseason last year, right? I think that was a factor in keeping them in the Orange Bowl, even though they lost their conference game.

It's hard, which team do you drop? I think that SC tends to do better in coaches and AP poll, and OU had a stronger schedule...

I remember last year, SC was coming strong late, and the bids went to the teams that had been ranked highest longer, i.e OU despite the loss. That may be a factor as well.

i guess not, what was th score again? oh ya 55-19, Cal got screwed out of a bowl game. And yes, the BCS does suck, but i would like to ask you to come up with a better system. [note: I am not a USC fan, but rather a UCLA fan, their rivals]

I agree that Cal should have gotten a Rose Bowl berth, but I don't see how 55-19 relates to that issue. We can all agree that OU has choked twice now.

It's funny, ESPN's Ten Spot mentioned ABC giving SC the trophy and cawing "Second Year In A Row" and "not since 94" and all this stuff. Didn't we watch LSU get the trophy last year?

Thank you! The Utes made Pittsburgh look like total idiots on the field. Of course it's hard to stop a front defensive line that can bench over 400lbs each and weigh 300+ lbs as well and on top of that run.

As for USC vs OU... I was disappointed. I was expecting a heck of a game but I left the room for 5 minutes and it jumped from 0-7 OU to 28-7 USC. I was confused and shocked. The Rose Bowl made a heck of a game though. They were two evenly matched teams and I was impressed.
