im getting a new xbox because the other one is broken. im also going to get a memory card to transfer all my stuff from the old one to the new one (the hard drive still works, thank god). i know i can transfer game saves, but i cant transfer the premium downloads. i have 15 bucks worth, and if i get my new xbox, will i have to buy them again? also, can i transfer my actual account to the new one or will i have to do the account recovery thing?

There all in a locked mode using a password on a EEprom chip on the mobo. You can use a PC to unlock the drive, copy the info to the new disk, and relock the new disk. OR you can use a disk util (LiveInfo, ConfigMagic, Slayers disk etc) and a mod chip to swap one for the other. You can then remove the mod chip and play on xbox live with out worries. OR you can stick a larger drive up to 137gb last I checked and lock it with the PW the old disk had.
Just a thought considering he's willing to buy a memory card and so on just to move info around.Comment

The account recovery thing IS switching your account. That's the same as having the account on 2 xboxes at once. I bet if you log in you can download the premium crap as much as you want since you paid for it and all. What games have this, BTW? And what do you get?
