im sorry but im going to go on the other end of this. i dont see the need to capitalize and use "proper" english. well im bad at spelling and i dont see whats wrong with saving time by pressing a "u" key instead of typing out you. alot of the time its not about being lazy, its about typing the word the way you pronounce it. gunna for example, i rarely ever actually say going. i say gunna, so if im typing why would i type proper? its more of slang than being lazy but everyone is intitled to their own opinion.

but i will give u this, that leet, or 1337, stuff is annoying. when you have to try to put things together just to understand what that person is saying it has gone too far.

I generally try to post as though I was writing something formally, although, from time to time, I digress into internet speak. Most common of my misgivings is using "tho" instead of though.

I type how i wanna, put dat in your pipe and smoke it.

J/K i normally post pretty legible posts, if there are any mispellings or anything it is because I dont really proof read after my post.

But i really dont think Rouge Factor minds being called rogue, i mean he calls his products rogue rails etc . I look at the name thing like if it is a two part name the first part is sutiple to call the person, jsut like i dont refer to friends by there first name and last name when i talk to them.

I know i dont mind it when people on here refer to me as Wolf.

I am 33 years old and very well educated. I don't mind the shortcuts used when typing something out on message boards or text messages sent via cell phones, etc. Like a few have said, if I can understand what is being said with little or no effort, I'm cool with it. All the 1337 speak is blown up like all the aGG stuff I see in paintball. People learn to tolerate that kind of stuff...I've yet to come to terms with the aGG stuff yet tho...I hate that shiot.

Anyway, I think it's great for those who can write well with perfect spelling and grammar. For those who like shortcuts now and then, I don't mind it much. But what's important is what's being written. If you come across as a complete idiot whether you can type longhand or shorthand...I wouldn't give you much credit anyway.

Interestingly enough though...I have bumped into a few teenagers who've used or said "LOL" during their real life conversations...Now, that's just wrong. :P

I work in advertising, and if I sent a client an email with lax grammer and spelling, it could potentially cost me business.

We don't need to be absolute grammer nazis, however, it reflects poorly on you when you aren't willing to communicate in a clear, understandable manner.

You kids wonder why we rail on you all the time.

Oh, and acecl22, bragging that you will make more money than someone is immature, generally ignored, and most likely untrue. Best of luck with the MLM...

I just capitalize and spell correctly because I think it looks more professional. The thing that annoys me is using numbers in place of words. I agree with you Duelist

Actually, I'm kind of interested in knowing what you'd be doing in 5 or 6 years. What are you planning on taking up in college? It's funny how the younger generation seems to think making money is so easy. Wait till you grow a little older and start having more financial responsibilities...you'll see how real life sucks the "dolla-dolla bill yo" right outta ya.

If you want to be taken somewhat seriously grammatically correct compositions are how you do it.

However, if you just come here for the poops and giggles it doesn't really matter. As long as it is legible.
