It would be nice if you gave the name of who you are looking for...the only Argano links I could find were in Italian and were talking about mechanical winches. but then to be honest you could use online searches just the same as me Imaginary numbers when used as a search link come up with loads of Algebraic webpages with discussions and examples of the theory.

well you are in trouble then as Trig could be applied to both algebra and winches guess you will have to ask for some more detail...unless you have left this for so long the assignment is overdue

Because it's trig, it probably has something to do with the invention of the compass, and not the one that tells you which direction you're facing.
