Well, if you didn't know it's also Pearl Harbor Day.

I saw slayer last year for the first time in about 10 years and I have to say, they were as good then as they were in the late 80's early 90's

Wasnt Pearl Harbor on the 7th? The 8th was the day we declared war?

The last time I saw Slayer was in 94 in SLC the opened for Anthrax and Megadeth. That show rocked!

Im not goin to see Slayer this year. I have to work, and Im boycottin The Premier (Bad club in seattle). But, on another note, I get to see Jello Biafra and The Melvins on the 30th.

Look them up. You won't be wasting your time.

                        After show report,
They played all of my favorites dead skin mask, south of heaven, seasons in the abyss, angel of death, and war ensemble.
But they did not play the greatest SLAYER song ever "Kill Again"

I joined the pit for war ensemble but I couldn't hang after the three previous bands(I am getting to old for this).
At some point I thought that some band would suck on the tour so I could jump out for a smoke.
Kill Switch Engage, Mastadon, and Hemlock totally freaking rocked, There was no band that sucked on the tour.
If you have a chance to see this do so. I hurt and I am drunk, it really is good to be king.

I havent seen Hemlock lately. I saw them about 6 years ago in a dive club called Newberrys in BFE Idaho... the singer who was also the bass player didnt like to use mic stands so alot of times he would hold the mic in his mouth and just kinda grunt into it. Does he still do that?

When I posted that, I honestly thought it was the 7th.

This no work thing screws with what day of the week it is.

Nah he had a mike stand up. And he was probablly one of the coolest guys I met. He was genuinly greatful that I walked all the way to the back of the auditorium to buy his c.d. He took a couple of seconds to chat and offered up to sign my c.d. for me. I just thought it was really cool that an artist was working his own booth to. Not just chatting and signing but working the merchandise and the till. They definitly made a fan out of me.
