I too read that that's what happened. So he kills dimebag? Now Pantera is REALLY never going to get back together.

And I never got to see Pantera live either......I hope that guy burns in Hell for this......

I had the distinct honor of meeting Dime a few years ago after a Pantera Show in vegas, as well as a few months ago at a DamagePlan show here in San Diego. Each time he was full of life and was one goofy guy. He had all the time in the world for his fans, and he had nothing but a positive light around him when I spoke with him for a few minutes. He was also deamed the King of Metal, by guitarWorld magazine.

This came as a real shock to my friends and I, as I base my guitar style around Dime's, the first solo I ever learned being from 'Five Minutes Alone'. Today my bandmates and I, as well as a few friends are going to hold a minute of silence. It's unfortunate that it had to end this way, and I dont think Dime will ever be forgotten in the world of Metal. He was an amazing guitarist, and as far as i'm concerend, an amazing guy.

I always preferred "Diamond" to "Dimebag" even though he insisted on Dimebag, I just thought it was sharper and more classy. Either way, a very sad day. Definitely my favorite metal guitarist and one of the greats in history. He had a great "metal face" too!

It pains be that such worthless whack jobs can deprive the world of such talent with relative ease.

A rock god is dead, my friends. Mourn for him, and mourn for yourselves, because his magic will never grace your ears again.

What a week. Tom retires, Joann quits, and Dimebag dies. Sad week. He'll be missed for sure.

( Ok so Tom and Joann leaving AGD isnt as big as someone dieing, but you get the point)

may our thoughts and prayers be with Dimebag's family, friends, and many many fans, especially his co-worker, and brother Vinne Paul (pantera/damage plans drummer) its one thing to loose a member of your band, but a brother who is a member is just screwed up.

I read rumor off of www.pantera.com that Vinnie was shot as well and might be dead. Still waiting on confirmation though.

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.
