I used to be bertmcmahan, that I did. -
Usually we gut the deer on-site, dispose of the uneatable parts. Then we bring the rest back to camp, using either tarp or rope, whichever is more appropriate in that situation. At camp we go through the actual butchering of the meat, then either cook/store. Finally the rest of the corpse is disposed. I'm sure you could find someone that hunts in your area, you'd get more information.Back at this...Comment

I'm not into hunting bears, big cats, wolves, etc. Large preditors are thin enough on the ground as it is IMHO.
Now a nice elk steak is one of the best things I've ever tasted.
As others have mentione, it does seem like there's be an auful lot of bear left on the ground when that little plane took off."Relax. Don't worry. Have a Home Brew."
