For those of you with Xbox's...

Today I noticed that my original-size Xbox controller kept disconnecting from the game because the outer plastic sleeve of the cord severed where it connects to the controller. I'm pretty sure the reason the sleeve broke was becasue of the way I wrap my contoller (and 90% of people with Xbox's...around and around and around the middle). Leaving the cord wrapped around the controller eventually will make the sleeve break, so try not to wrap them tight. I figured I should warn you guys, because original controllers are becoming more rare, and when I looked on Ebay for an original controller, I found out that they are selling for upwards of $25 used...not cheap at all. You have been warned.

personally i cant stand the original controllers, the new smaller ones are my favorite. not too small or akward, but a good size and a good fit in the hands. the old ones may be more fit to the hand, but its just friggen big that i find it hard to reach some of the buttons

Which controller you prefer depends almost entirely on what controller you started playing with...I started using an original controller, so that's what I like the most. It's ironic that I use an original controller, because my hands are incredibly small.

Speaking of controllers...Has anybody heard of or used an FPS Master Controller (for the Xbox) from Radica Games/Gamester? A friend showed me some links: http://www.xboxaddict.com/products/p...Product_ID=746

..and it looks pretty neat. Programmable button configurations, a set-up so that you almost never have to take your thumbs of the analog sticks, and it looks fairly comfortable to hold too. All the reviews I've read on it have been great, but does anybody have any actual experience with it?

Learned this lesson the hard way back with the N64. Thats the only console controller that i've really ever liked, mouse + keyboard > xBox controller IMO.

I like the idea so much I asked for one for christmas I really hope I get it.
I'm pretty bad at halo, but I know I could haul butt if I had a keyboard and mouse

That's never happened to anyone in my family.. we've been wrapping the cables of our controllers since like.. Nintendo NES, and Super Nintendo.. we've had N64, PSX, PS2, Xbox etc, and none of them have broken like that..
          That's kinda wierd.

My friends and I call the old xbox controllers the 'Fatty Yo' controllers.

I have only tried the Original Controllers once, and I can not recall If I liked them or not(was a long time ago). I started with the S Controllers, so my opinions may be biased torward them now.

                Bob_da_Splatman I have Halo 2, My GT is DiSoRdeR155.

Yeah, I have one. It's pretty cool. Takes a TINY bit of getting used to, then it's really cool. Not just incredibly better, but it is cool. Keeps people from wanting to take your spot when 5 people have 1 xbox!

Oh- NEVER wrap the AV and Power cords around the xbox when transporting it. My AV cord got all fudged up from doing that, and it will barely work right most of the time.

If you wind it around the controller it will also cause a short later on down the raod , if you move it cord it will say"Please Insert Controller"

dont wind the cords , let them hang

meh, i invested in a pair of Logitec wireless controlers. They took a little bit to get used to but now that i'm used to them they feel perfect and work perfectly as well, not a hiccup, even during intense panzer dragoon sessions.....

And its pretty easy to go from the logitec back to the S controler and back. I started playing on the original controler when i played at my friends house, but switched to the S once I got my own Xbox
