AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
hi all i got a 99-00 chevy 1500 short bed 4x4. 5.3L engine with 4l60e tranny, im not sure which transfercase it uses. Anyway the slip yoke is bad (didnt know they could go bad?). How would i go about repairing or replacing this? thanks for info
GM had an issue with the yokes on this - they used a special blue gel to help alleviate noise (we always refer to it as smurf blood, I don't know what the technical name was) - then they switched the yoke out to a nickel (I think) plated one - not cheap but it cured the problem. Talk to the dealer on this, they likely stock the parts your going to need.
