Ok, 80% of the US calls it soda.

The south calls everything "Coke". Nothing is more annoying than asking for a coke and the waitress asking what kind!

Buzz...Wrong, Try Again

Here (In Central Georgia) everbody just calls things by there names. For example, Can I have a coke means a Coca-cola. But...Can I have a Dr. Pepper means a Dr. Pepper, continue on with various soda products.

I don't know why everyone says this BS about "In the south, everything is called Coke". It's not, and frankly, most people I know prefer Pepsi.

PS: I love hearing people call it pop, it cracks me up when I hear, "Where's the pop machine"... :rofl:

i too stopped drinking lots of soda/pop/coke whatever you call it, when i started going to college. the only time i drink soda now is when i have to pull an all nighter, which im doing right now, or sometimes i get sprechers rootbeer or cream soda cause it truely is the nectar of the gods.

mostly i drink water and juice. sometimes ill drink coffee in the morning, or when pulling an all nighter. and drink milk with diner sometimes.

since about 12 pm, it being 8 now. i had a pepsi, moutain dew, 2 large cups of coffee, and 2 liters of water. all in an effort to do a reprot that i put off untill the last minute(its due at 850)


oh well...just means i get to drink my absolute favorite drinks tonight cause theres no class tomorrow.

Kinda amusing but,

I call it all soda but I ask for the pop machines unless it's fountain then I ask for the soda fountain.

Most people prefer Pepsi over Coke. But IMO Coke is much better. Pepsi tastes like flat Coke with too much sugar. Dr. Pepper is nasty, it tastes like pepsi with medicine.

I was born in MI (live there now) and lived in GA for some time.

If it comes from a soda machine its SODA - DUH

If its in a can its Pop

And people from both places think I'm weird

okay back to topic guys what did you need lord? i can prob. help you out? i work at a grocerystore and am really good friends/help the pepsi guy and the coke guy when they bring the stock and help stock shelves.
