hmmm, I have the option to see sigs turned off. Maybe I'll turn it back on now. I get ticked off when I'm trying to read through a thread, and I see more text in the sigs than I do in the thread.Comment

No, not really. If you have 10 copies of the same image on a page, it just loads it once from the server. Not to mention a bunch of sigs aren't hosted on AO anyway so don't touch its bandwidth.Originally posted by Echo419
It'll just make the forums look a little neater when you read them. Personally I like when people had their sig in every post. It made it easy to find other peoples posts in a thread if I knew what their sig was, and easy to find my own posts in threads.
I'm probably the only one on AO who doesn't like this because it makes it harder for me to find my place in threads I've read already and are coming back to.
IE, if I post in a thread, and then go back to read replies after I post, I usually just scroll down until I see my sig and then I can read from after there on. But I guess since you can still have your sig on every page of a thread it doesn't matter much.
