Is it wrong to call someone for the sole purpose of starting a political debate?

Well earlier today I found out a girl I knew was a democrat and for a reason unknown to me thought I was as well (i've ragged on Kerry a million times infront of her) and though I was as well, she found out I wasn't through a friend of a friend of a friend kind of thing. Anyway she IM'd me earlier annoyed (don't know why but girls are girls) I was at school so I didn't answer her. So I got bored half an hour ago so I decided to call her and start up a good old fashion Bush-Kerry debate. It was fun, she couldn't think of anything to come back friends told her to vote for Kerry so she did, she never formed an opinion based on facts and her beliefs like most college students do.

Note: I'm not trying to bash any party here. However some people are stupid and will go vote for anyone their friends are without having a clue about either canidates.

alot of people on both sides are ignornat of facts. thats what pisses me off the most, is the people who vote ( one way or another) because they wanna be cool. this tends to happen more with college kids voting democratic , but iv known it to happen both sides. they want to be like thier favorite poser muscian, so they are gunna be the cool kid and go againts authority, even if they arnt rebeling for any reason at all.

Maybie everyone should be given a gun. We can then bring all the republicans to the west coast, all the democrats to the east or some other similar setup where resource control would be fair. Then we have at it and see who is left. This would forever end the debating. Although I don't think the democrats would stand a chance.

Unfortunatly this is the way most Americans vote, especially the younger groups. They will vote what ever there frineds are voting, or even their parants....or some even base it purly on their looks...I wish thet could find a way to only let those who have researched each individual at least so much and then let them vote....At least have what erach one stands for and what their belifs for america is and how they plan on changing it. Also their Ideals and religion are actually and VERY big factor. Bush went for religion big time this year and it came very close but as you can see he won out...Kerry tried a little but was more on the liberal and atheistic point of views ( thats the Vibe I got).

So what I'm saying is I'm glad the populus vote does not control who wins.
