Give me a break. The outcome of this war is falling 100% on the shoulders of Conservative America, and you know it.

Personally I hate all of this Right vs. Left junk. There are stupid and corrupt people in power right now, but I won't blame the entire Republican party for several misguided idiots.

As for Iraq, now that it has been started, we must finish this war. This "free fire zone" in Iraq actually is somebody's neighborhood. Our plan assumed that the insane Iraqis would simply leave and stop fighting once we took the country and leave the normal human beings there to live their lives. The problem is, they didn't, and we weren't prepared for it.

I'm also sick of seeing good causes perverted by the people running the actions. With friends in the oil and weapons industries Bush has obviously been pressured to start a war, or two, how about Syria while we are at it? I am sick of corrupt cowards sending those tired, poor and huddled masses to hell while they sit around eating Filet Mignon. If you start a war you should be willing to fight it yourself.

      In Short,

        In Short,

I hate it when people say that. Are you saying that our countries elected leader should get strapped with an AK and let loose in Iraq. Its not his job to fight a war. It is in his job description though to declare a war based on the best interest of our nation. And thats what he did given the "facts" he had at the time. PLEASE tell me you were joking about putting a president on the battlefield.

Actually maybe you need to check your fact. The restrictions are due to the Geneva Convention, as to what is allowed, and what isn't. So to say that Bush and Rumsfeld (Cheney has no power of command unless something happens to Bush) are putting the restrictions on is wrong.

Is the war right or wrong? Who knows, it has it's pros and cons just like anything. Do I agree with it? To a point. Should we have done some things differently? Yeah.

But to say the President and Secretary of Defense have control and are putting restrictions on the troops is wrong, and that's what is bugging the most about this whole thing.

Finally if psychobillygoat really thinks Saddam should be put back in and we can all live in a world full of rainbows and puppies, maybe he needs to get a lobotomy.

I didn't honestly mean that we should hand him an M4 and tell him to join the 101st. If I were president I would not decalre any way that, under different circumstances I wouldn't fight myself, just as I will not support a war I would not be willing to fight. If I am going to take a pro war position I am going to be on the front lines fighting. I have fought for a cause, not in any major war, but I have fought before and I stand behind what I fought for.

Chris emailed me and apologized and was very contrite about his cursing. So ... with that in mind... and in the spirit of Christmas I am lowering his temp ban to one day and letting him back in tomorrow.... Christmas Eve.
