AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Have you experienced any extreme pressure changes (a la Diving/Flying/Elevations)? Definitely see a doc. Had this problem diving in MX, came up after a dive and the sound was there. Dove the next day, it was gone after we surfaced.
No, dont use qtips.
A few years ago on a family trip to florida I had like a similar problem, i had like water in my ear. It was really annoying so I tried to clean it out with a q tip. Then it got really painful. We had to find a doctor and get an appointment, and when i saw him he said that I had scratched my ear drum or something like that.
Seriously, your ear isnt something to play around with, atleast CALL a doctor
do you have ANY idea how far in you have to stick a q-tip to get to your ear drum?
SIG RULES SUCK REAL BAD AND THEYRE STUPID AND DUMB AND THEY STINK AND ARE STUPID AND I HATE THEM AND THEY SUCK REAL BAD
Gimme a break, it was like 4 years ago, I cant remember anything
All I know is that I scratched something and it hurt like hell and a q tip sure diddn't fix the problem.

Thats why I have someone else do it for me. Less chance of something like that to happen.
Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) is common. So is decreased sound tolerance (hyperacusis and misophonia). Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) can give relief.
There are plenty more links about but those should give you some idea...though the best advise so far is go and see a Doctor.
Tinnitus is a drag. I get it sometimes. Shortly after getting digital cable, I called the cable provider because something was wrong with the sound. At a certain level, everyone's voice would have a mechanical resonance. They all sounded like robots. I argued with the cable people for a while and was going to call back the next day to arrange to have a technician come over. It wasn't until I got to work in the morning and heard everyone talking like robots that I realized it was me and not the cable
It faded away after a couple of weeks. The doctors can't find anything. I also get periods of buzzing, clicking and hissing noises.
