Firefox - Speed it up a lot!

Just did a few changes to my Firefox configuration as listed on this page and !

Web pages load so much faster! Check it out!

Edit: Not sure if it'd work well those who use dial up.

yep have done similar things since i started using firefox
works great at giving you some extra speed.

and the top it off its simple and only takes a minute

So I just downloaded Firefox, simply because I've heard a bunch of good things about it. Anybody have any quick resources I could check out, maybe a tutorial or something? Also, as I'm typing this, I'm finding that the | cursor is really fat and annoying and getting in the way of whatever letter it's on, any way of changing that?
