I don't know of any laser guided missiles; all I know of are radar guided [they lock onto the reflection of radar waves off the metal of the plane] or heat guided [they use IR to lock onto the hottest thing around, generally a plane's exhaust right behind the engine].

Someone just told me it happend again last night brining it up to four times now each in differant parts of the country. The earthquake, the lasers, can only mean one thing, the end of the world is near!

My little bro had a laser pointer that was so powerful it was scary. We used to shine it on the houses all the way down the block, and u could see it clear as day. Really makes u think.

I had a construction beam aligner I sold on E-bay cause i just happened to pick it up at a repo auction you want POWERFUL that thing was cool

If it was 8500 ft up, it had to be a more than a keychain laser..something over 5mW.

seen some thing like this

i remember on the history channle they were doing a show about how the red barron got shot down and they were using a powerful green pulsating laser to shoot at a plane from the ground. that thing could reach that altitude the beem was like and inch wide.

Think about it, when a plane flys overhead can you see the cockpit? That means you cannot shine a light in there. In order to get a light in the cockpit you would have to be pretty far ahead of the plane meaning someone has one hell of a lazer.
