im running Mozilla firefox 1.4 and when i go to Gmail.com, the spot where im supposed to put in my username/password doesnt come up, it stays grey. And when i run Interenet Explorer the spot where i put username/password comes up as Error Action Cancled.. What can i do?

have you tried just going through the Gmail notifier? Since downloading it I've never been to the actual login page.Comment

sorry to thread jack, but what does the notifier do cause I didnt download it as I thought it would pop up during games and such. Is it any good?

the only way it will pop up during games is if you have your browser open. and if you talking games you play though your browser all it does is play a sound if you want, (you can turn sound off)Originally posted by Bolter
and the visual ways it tells you that you have a message is in the lower right side of the screen a very small message appears for about 1-2 seconds saying you have a message.
you can also add a icon to your navigation bar at the top the shows a mail envelope with a number beside it. when you get a message it changes.

Yeah, i just downloaded Gmail Notifier, installed it and everything. And then int he bottom right hand corner it says, "An Error has Occured. Cannot log into mailbox (12029). Unable to connect to server"
Ive reinstalled Firefox, ive tried IExlporer, tried gmail notifier and still nothing works!

Gmail is the worst email client ever. You guys do know that gmail copies all of the info in your emails, then sells that info to companies. It's going to be the biggest "spyware" racket in the community once gmail goes mainstream.Comment
