Exactly why we try to let bass come out in my band... I hate simple chord progressions and what not, and all the boring bass in most music. I use a lot of slap/pop in our originals, which is weird for the genre, but it manages to fit. Catch me on aim if you want, I will send you some of my stuff/ thebands stuff.
