One thing that I want to emphasize is do not skimp out on power supply, put reliablility before wattage. A quality lower wattage PS is better than a high wattage no-name PS. I've heard to many stories and had to many first-hand experiences of losing some expensive hardware due to el cheapo power supplies blowing.

My last power supply blew on me. (that sounds bad) When I got the new one from SPI I compared them and the new one weights about twice as much as the old one. All the wires are stronger and its just a nicer unit. I will proably need more than 300 watts so Im going to look for around a 400-500 watt PS.
As for video cards. Im going to stick with ATI. I just dont have enough reason to go with anything else.
Does anyone have a suggestion on a good brand of Ram? Nobody has really said much about Kingston.

I would go with the corsair ram, and you might want to step it up 256 more or even to a gig. I know that it may sound outrageous, but I went from 512 to a gig, and I was amazed at what it did. A guy in my clan has 2 gigs...That's outrageous. I mean, he is pretty hardcore into it, while I'm less serious, but a gig will get the job done perfectly. I'm a gamer too, and those fast load speeds really matter for me sometimes. Otherwise, looks like a sweet system
The 9600...unless you're crazy about game detail there's no reason to go higher. I would stay away from the 9700, it gave me some problems, but the 96 I had before worked great, and I've heard that they still run great.

yeah definitely corsair ram, pc 3200 which is 400mhz. and an ASUS mobo or i believe the company is called DFI, my buddy just picked one of those up and its amazing. ATI for a vid card is definitely the way to go X800s are real nice.Comment

Go with OCZ or G.Skill RAM. In my opinion, Corsair is overrated. Right now, I have a gig of Corsair XMS PC4000, and its nothing special at all. I can't get it past 220mhz without switching to a 2T command rate and loosening timings to 3-4-4-8.
