    Restoring a Beer tap?

I got this true beer tap in my basement that i want to get working again, anyone know some sources of what you need and stuff. Its a True beer tap, not that big, and wooden, no tap on top.

**Want to change to Soda Dispencer**

I just restored an aluminum kegorator for my dad. we got it set up with nitro for Guinness. And it tastes great!

What do you need to do? Is the tap broken, do you need parts or what?

um... i dont know where all the parts are, all i have is like a 20 year old truth bear tap, an im going to hook it up to soda because im 14, my dad or mom probably knows where all the parts are if there are the parts.

Right now, i know i need the tap (might have), soda keg, and a c02 cylinder.

      Anyone knows Truth's website?

well most soda doesnt come in a keg. It comes in a bag. and the c02 and water are mixed at the tap, thats what a fountain machine is for. Unless you have a fridge, a keg of soda and a c02 tank and all the hardware its going to be hard to set up.

You need to talk to a bar and find out who their supplier is. and Search the yellowpages for bartending suppliers.

pop/soda comes in syrup and has to be mixed with co2 and water.

i wish you luck on this project, its going to be a tuffy.

                  some pics would be cool.

i guess you could just buy lots of coke, and pressurize it, i mean it wont be cheap, but its probably the easiest way

ok, i though of a set up.

First, i have to get perssured water into a keg. As thats leading to the thing thats going to the facet-like thing, forgot the name, i run it so there is a 2 to 1 connector. The bigger tube gets the selzer, and the smaller one gets the surup from the BIB. Maybe this would work.

                      P.S. i cant wait when im 21

I think im making stuff up so just bear with me

Fill a keg with coke, attach a female end of an air hose into the keg somhow, then fill it up with Co2.

so right now heres my plan

Get one of those pepsi 5 gal kegs, and fill it up with water. Then put like 14 psi of C02 into it, making selzer, good so far?

**EDIT**Then i would need something like this

Have the 2 ends go for intake and the bottom one for output, or maybe like the bottom bigger one is for selzer and one top one is for syrup and one is output.

Im changing the topic from restoring "beer cooler" to "home soda dispencer"
