I coulda sworn I just posted this, so chances are I posted in the wrong thread, hehe.

Anyway, if the Ram was bad, it would still Post. I'm starting to think it might be a dead mobo...

      Update..

I pulled the video card and she booted up, granted with no display. I was flipping through the mobo manual and it says it does not support AGP@x(3.3V). However hte card I have is a Radeon 9600 (8x/4x)..

      It's a start, now what?

could just be a dead video card. Try it in a different computer.

I told you that with my first post ...above That was why I said good call to WickedKlown...as I downloaded the manual to look through to check about any special power needs.

The manuals are normally your friend just ploughing forward results in stuff like this....the warning about the graphics cards is right at the beginning.

Since it all boots up now read the specs you need and go buy the graphics card.

I must have missed that little tidbit

Thing is, the card is 8x/4x, it *should* work. Ah well, sorry for all the trouble guys, and thanks for the help!

Now I'm in the market for a new video card..I hear the Geforce 6600's are sweet, but damnit, I hate moving away from ATI..suggestions?

So I'm now hellbent on one of the BFG 6600GT OC's..Yum

Regardless of that, we have a new problem system wise..

Took me several tries to get XP Installed (related to using an OEM disk perhaps??). Finally get it installed, and it reboots like normal. However, I can't get to windows. After the initial windows loading screen the damned thing reboots every single time. I've tried safe mode to no avail.

                  So, what gives now?

                  *edit* I have 1gig (2x512mb) of Kingston's 400mhz ValueRam..not the best option, I know

I was looking to buy that card but my board only supports AGP 2x...which is 3.3v. Thats your problem. If the card is 8x and 4x only it wont work on that board.

Actually Tuna, that's not/wasn't my problem..It was just a bad card. My mobo supports 8x AGP, so we're good to go
