    Wetsuit

Im currently looking for a wet suit for surfing. I was looking at a 4/5 on or just a full body for the water is awful cold up here. Does any one know of a good midprice wetsuit.

Don't do much surfing, but loads of scuba. O'Neill makes some great stuff.

from what i know, you should go to a surf shop or some place they sell wetsuits. and then try them on. check if there are any parts that are cutting off bloodsupply, or are not properly sealed around the wrists and ackles and neck. check the price tag too, they can get pricey.

the best wetsuit i have ever found was seriously found. i found it on the shoulder of the freeway. its comfy, fits nice, beat up, and keeps me nice and cozy here in the pacific ocean.

i'm not a wetsuit pro, so i'd say ask around, try them on, and use your instincts

Real surfers use a Farmer John!

Cripes, I haven't surfed since the 70's ( I also had hair to the middle of my back, but that's a different story), but O'neill still makes da'kine gear for colder water.

Ahhh yeahh...6.2' Lightning Bolt swallow tail, twin skeg, and enough Sex Wax to stick it to the wall. Heck, I didn't even own a wet suit!

Definately go fullsuit. You could look at coldwater suits like we wear when diving in the great lakes(gets damn cold in dem der lakes) or you may even take a look at a drysuit made for regular water sports, they will keep you dry and you could add layers on clothes for warmth underneath. Just some ideas.

South Shore Skin Divers is a great shop. They can set you up with anything you need for diving up here in the cold.

Unfortunatly I think you've missed the sell off of last years rental gear so you're looking at $350 at least.

This is a good on-line place that sells at a good discount. Unfortunatly for something like a suit I'd want to try it on before buying and you can't really do that on-line.

Personaly, I wear a 5mm two piece "super streach" suit year round when diving up here.

edit: when I say year round I mean regular season. I wouldn't get into the water in anything other than a dry suit right now.
