Ok I know nothing about anything to do with this. However I think I have the nessessary stuff to do it, if its possible.
I have this thing that will plug into the back of my computer
    I have a video cable.
And I have options that shows a TV

Now how do I do it?

    Thanks in advance!

So you are trying to watch TV on the computer screen? You would need a video card designed for that. What you have is a means to display your computer screen on a TV. I noticed this is a laptop. This function is used a lot of times for presentations on large screen (non computer) projectors.

Nope. You can tunnel the cable through your t.v. to your computer if you have an s-video jack on both. You can't however, directly connect the cable to your computer.

            Aww...

And putting the computer on the TV made me realize how crappy a TV's resolution is heh.

            Well thanks anyways.

Yes, the resolution on a TV sucks. But it works for TV signals.
