Since a crocodile's tongue is extremely sensitive, the smallest thing such as a flea landing on their tongue can send a crocodile snapping it's jaw shut. These kinds of things have happened before where people put their head into a croc's mouth and holding it 'suspended in air' just to thrill the audience. The bad part is, since doing that is extremely nerve racking and causes you to sweat.. what happens when a drop of salty water that weighs more than flea drops on his tongue when their head in there.

No pics... but you can guess it's unpleasant to say the least.

Yeah, I've seen this video before...stupid. First of all, anyone who is going to do crocodile tricks should know the behaviors of crocodiles. But like others have said, touching the tongue is like hitting a nerve...it will snap no matter what. He should have left it at swinging his arm through the mouth without touching the tongue. But if that was me, I would have kept my distance.

Here's one that I can imagine is pretty painful too...not as bad as the croc but I'm sure it still hurt
