To view the world through a liberal's eyes is like viewing the world through the eyes of a child. The world is a big scary place. Solutions are not black and white. There are lesser of two evils. Sometimes the best solution isn't a good solution. A liberal's tunnel vision prevents them from understanding the basic truth of the matter. Humans are inherently evil creatures. You insist there is no possibility, if Iraq was a motivator for the 9/11 attacks, that Iraq was not involved. That's like saying only people who have cancer would donate to a cancer research foundation.

These situations are not simple A-or-B, black-or-white propositions. It's not just us or them, and its counterproductive to view the world in those terms.

By the way voting for Clinton or Gore won't give you any "street cred" with liberals. If you didn't vote Kerry when it really counted, you might very well fall into the camp of one of the groups arguably worse than conservatives -- neonconservatives.
