    raft

    ok its raining and me and my friends arew thinking about making a raft and floating it down 4 miles of creek to where my friend lives. he lives like 100 yeard from the creek. he says it is flowing pritty good. but we need to make a raft or buy a small boat. does any one know how much small iflatable boats cost? what about the rubber tubes the heavy duty ones. and has any one done any thing like this?

    No matter what you do, don't be stupid, wear a life vest (PFD). Take it from an experianced kayaker.

    Usually running high water creeks is not a smart idea though. There are just too many thing you can hit or get caught on.

    It's all fun and games until someone dies.

      I bought a small inflateable raft at walmart for 20 bucks. It says it can hold like 300 pounds so I thought it could hold 2 people, but it's really just big enough for one person. I also had to buy 2 cheap paddles for 8 bucks each. I bought a little portable pump for 14 bucks too. I use it to fish in the river behind my house.
