    Any Creative Writers Out There?

I just recently started writing again and was wondering if anyone else out there writes poetry or prose.

My goal is to get published before year's end so if anyone's got any advice let me know. For those of you who would like to share your work please feel free to post here or pm me. It's always helpful to get feedback.

I thoroughly enjoy writing, although I've never written for anybody as a profession. I'm hoping to get more into those situations starting next year and beyond.

(This reply didn't help at all, but it's a free bump, I guess.)

I don't think writing has to be viewed as a profession to enjoy it. I only mention wanting to get published because it's my goal for the year.

      What do you write anyway?

I write on occasion but generally my attention span prohibits me from finishing anything. I enjoy it, though. Given a few hours completely alone, with a guarantee of no distractions, I may be able to write something worthwhile.
I've had people bugging me to write something for a while now but I just never get around to it.
So you've got an E-Mag, Warpfeed, LX, and a complete set of barrels. You can shoot a steady 13 bps and bunker me like it's no problem...

But do you know where your towel is?

What do you know? I'm writing about my kid--in one of my stories. Someone mentioned you also write poetry. Yes? I would love to read some of your stuff if you do.

yes I do... write poems, that is. Occasionally angsty teenage stuff, but I'd like to think that i'm better than that. I'm in hte middle of a fantasy story for kids, and that one's kinda fun to read/write.

I would love to read any of y'alls stuff.. I am not an english major or anything of that sort, but I do know a bit about writing and expression. My kids' godfather has been published many times and writes for the Philly Examiner, he is always making me test his stories before they go to print..

                            Unavoidable

I grew up alone, a man
                            Taught by no being
But the very wisdom of life
                            Guided my plan

                            A forlorn longing lingers
                            To be whole once again
                            An entity ruptured us
                            Dare I point the finger?

His mistake I shall not make
                            This pledge pray I keep
                            To cherish their existence
                            Keep the whole entity awake
