Ok, so, my car was hit today (door dosent even open anymore), it was not my fault, but, heres the kicker, by technicality, I may have to pay for it.
At my highschool, there are 2 lanes, in the morning, the right lane is the exit, the left is the entrance. Well, in the afternoon, the people who turn left to leave, are directed (by school officials) into the left lane (the "wrong" side of the road), and the people turning right to the right lane. Well, i was in the left lane, leaving school, next thing i know BAM, and my car starts spinning, well, this lady had hit me on the drivers side door (neck/back are still sore). So, as im still spinning, im thinking, ok, not my fault, im cool. Well, i get out of the car, and she comes out swinging (not literally) screaming about how I was going 60mph and caused the wreck (mind you, there was a road hump ~20 ft away, so, NO WAY i was going near that fast). I am just taken aback like "is she serious" and say "WHAT! you just ran a stop sign and hit me". Anyway, she starts to get in her car to drive off, and im like "Hold on a second, im gonna need some insurance stuff" so, get all that, long story short- her argument "he was on the wrong side of the road" my arguement- "she picks her kid up every day, she knows the drill, and she pulled out from a stop sighn and hit me" now, the kicker- I was leaving late so the traffic directors wernt there. Also, if it goes to court, my liscens gets pulled if they side with her because I am on the North Carolnia graduated drivers program which can pull your liscens easily for infractions. Also- is the school not at fault for directing kids to drive on the wrong side of the road?
Still shaken up, probably left out alot.
